Who's Who?
scan.jpgWho Am I?

I am Bev Walker Gwozdz, and I created An Extra Hand Organizing in 2006 in order to help people learn to better manage their possessions, papers, homes, offices - and their lives.

How did I come to this career path?

From 1997 to 2006, I worked for a pharmaceutical company, and I had the opportunity of taking part in a project to streamline some of the manufacturing processes, which in the olden days was called a "Time and Motion" study.  I also worked with a team to help the plant become "lean" by finding ways to decrease waste - wasted time, space, energy, and costs.  As a result, I saw decreased costs and increased production.  But most surprising, I saw an increase in morale as workers gained a greater sense of ownership, involvement and quality workmanship.  And I thought - everyone deserves a chance to experience this transformation in their homes and offices.

By helping people learn organizing skills, I get the thrill of seeing them take control of their lives while they gain a sense of freedom from clutter and stress.

Who are my clients?

I have worked with busy moms, professional couples, and single seniors struggling with space issues.  I have worked with newly married couples and new home owners striving to optimize their time and space.  I have created home and small business offices.  Just about everyone could use An Extra Hand at one point or another in their lives!

Who else do I serve?

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers - Greater Philadelphia Chapter, the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Souderton-Telford Main Streets Program.  In addition, I am a volunteer with the Indian Valley Public Library and the Montgomery Theater.

What else do I do?

I teach organizing skills to groups, give presentations, and write.  Keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming e-book, due early 2010.
